You gain experience by overcoming challenges, defeating creatures, and completing adventures.
Experience is used to improve your attributes and acquire new abilities.
Improving attributes and acquiring new abilities require downtime.

DESIGN NOTE: 20,000 XP is the equivalent to a 20th level character in Pathfinder. Consider 1 level in PF1e equal to 1,000 XP worth of improvements and abilities, and assign XP costs to new features appropriate to this scale.

  • Attribute Modifier (500 XP): Select an attribute modifier, and increase it by 1. You can train this cultivation a total number of times equal to your level for each attribute.
  • Martial Bonus (20 XP): Increase your martial bonus by +1. You can train this cultivation a total number of times equal to your level.
  • Saving Throw Bonus (50 XP): Select an attribute, and increase its saving throw bonus by +1. You can train this cultivation for each attribute a number of times up to half of your level.
  • Skill Proficiency (100 XP): Increase your proficiency in one skill of your choice. You can train this cultivation a total number of times equal to your level plus your Intelligence modifier (minimum 1). You can only increase a skill to master when you are at least 8th level, and to legendary when you are at least 15th level.
  • Stamina (10 XP): Increase your Stamina pool by 1. You can train this cultivation a total number of 20 times per level.
  • Talent, Standard (25 XP)
  • Talent, Expert (75 XP)
  • Talent, Master (125 XP)
  • Talent, Legendary (175 XP)
