Racial Traits


Standard Traits

  • Type: Sei'anthyrs are primanoids with the aquatic and elf subtypes.
  • Size: Sei'anthyrs are Medium creatures and thus have no bonuses or penalties due to their size.
  • Speed: Sei'anthyrs have a base speed of 30 feet and a swim speed of 30 feet. (2 CP)
  • Languages: Sei'anthyrs begin play knowing one regional Elvish language. Sei'anthyrs with high Intelligence scores can choose a regional language from the following: Adarosh, Elvish, Human, Jiaoren, Lianti, and Thulkesh. See the Linguistics skill page for more information about these languages.

Defense Racial Traits

  • Elven Immunities: Sei'anthyrs are immune to magic sleep effects and gain a racial bonus equal to half of their total Hit Dice to saving throws against enchantment spells and effects. (4 CP)

Feat and Skill Racial Traits

  • Keen Senses: Sei'anthyrs receive a racial bonus equal to their total Hit Dice on Perception checks. (2 CP)
  • Swim: As they have a swim speed, sei'anthyrs receive a +8 racial bonus on Swim checks.

Magical Racial Traits

  • Sei'anthyr Magic: Sei'anthyrs can use the following spell-like abilities a number of times per day equal to their total Hit Dice: commune with fish (like commune with birds, but with fish instead) and dancing lights. They use their total HD as their caster level. (3 CP)

Senses Racial Traits

  • Low-Light Vision: Sei'anthyrs can see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light. At 7th Hit Die, their range increases to three times as far, four times as far at 14th, and so on every 7 HD after. (1 CP)

Deep Sea Dweller: Aquatic elves who live far beneath the surface have adapted to the inhospitable conditions of the ocean depths. Aquatic elves with this racial trait gain darkvision with a range of 60 feet and cold resistance 5. This racial trait replaces low-light vision and elven immunities.
Surface Features: Some aquatic elves appear almost indistinguishable from surface elves. Their coloring, height, and weight all suggest those of a surface elf, and the webbing between their digits is almost transparent. Aquatic elves with this racial trait gain a +4 bonus on Bluff and Disguise checks when attempting to pass themselves off as surface elves. This racial trait replaces keen senses.
Surfacer Antagonist: Aquatic elves generally distrust humans, but for some, the suspicion has become festering hatred. Those who have lost loved ones to human aggression or have watched humans loot artifacts from venerated undersea ruins view all humans as enemies. Aquatic elves with this racial trait receive a +1 bonus on attack rolls against humans. This racial trait replaces elven magic.
