Major Races
The major races of Celesia are those people that have settled and are present on two or more continents. Their existence is known across the world, although it is possible for many people to not have met a person of a particular race. Each have their own set of cultures and ethnicities that have developed over time and distance.
- Aelfkyn—Also known as half-elves, aelfkyn are a people descended from the union of elves and humans.
- Anthousai—Fairy spirits born of the Eternity Tree that have chosen to bloom on Midgard as a mortal race.
- Caelephilim—A race of mortals whose ancestry is tied to outsider celestials.
- Dabyuns—A bestial race with hyena-like features.
- Dhampirs—A race of mortals whose bloodline was affected by vampirism.
- Dwarves—A stout, stocky people with ties to the earth.
- Duerghendar—A offshoot of the dwarven race that have developed natural psionic abilities.
- Elves—Descendents of the first fairies to have transitioned to Midgard, imbuing both nature and magic.
- Gnomes—A short people descending from earth fairies that transitioned to Midgard.
- Goblins—A short, ravenous people descending from fairies that transitioned to Midgard.
- Halflings—A short, supernaturally lucky people.
- Humans—An adaptable people with great potential.
- Hobgoblins—A people that had long ago evolved from goblins into a bigger, more industrious people.
- Ifrit—A race of mortals whose ancestry is tied to the elemental plane of Fire.
- Jiaoren—A race of aquatic people with the upper torso of a human, and the lower body of a fish tail.
- Jiren—A sapient race of artificial constructs created in a similar fashion as humans.
- Kitai—A bestial race with feline features.
- Kitsune—A shapeshifting people with vulpine features.
- Kobolds—A short people touched by the blood of dragons.
- Legaren—A bestial people with lupine features.
- Lianti—A race of aquatic people descending from humans.
- Malephilim—A race of mortals whose ancestry is tied to outsider fiends.
- Nui'anthyr—An offshoot of the elven race that have adapted to the lightless underground.
- Orcs—A brawny people of incredible endurance with predatory bestial features.
- Oreads—A race of mortals whose ancestry is tied to the elemental plane of Earth.
- Sakkadi—A bestial people with lizard-like features.
- Sei'anthyr—An aquatic offshoot of the elven race that have adapted to live underwater.
- Skriven—A close communal people with rat-like features.
- Sylphs—A race of mortals whose ancestry is tied to the elemental plane of Air.
- Tengu—A tricky and superstitious people with crow-like features.
- Undines—A race of mortals whose ancestry is tied to the elemental plane of Water.
- Uroknars—Also known as half-orcs, uroknars are a people descended from the union of orcs and humans.
- Vanara—A bestial people with monkey-like features.
- Vishkanya—A graceful human-like people with serpent-like features.
- Wayang—A short people descending from shadow fairies that transitioned to Midgard.
