House Rules: Feats - Shield Focus (Combat)

Prerequisites

Shield Proficiency, base attack bonus +1.

Benefit

Increase the DV bonus granted by any shield you are using by 1. The shield's DV bonus includes this increase when determining the enhancement bonus from a potency rune on the shield. If you have at least 8 levels in fighter, increase the shield's DV bonus by 2 instead.

If you have base attack bonus +6 or higher, you reduce the armor check penalty of any shield you are using by 1. You also use your total Hit Dice in place of your base attack bonus for the purpose of shield mastery feat prerequisites.
