Giant (CR +1)

"Giant" is an inherited template that can be added multiple times to any creature (its effects stack), and cannot be added to creatures with the runt template. Creatures with the giant template are larger and stronger than their normal-sized kin.

Giant creatures came into being through various means: selective breeding, natural evolution, outside interference through magic or science, or divine intervention. This would explain why giant creatures co-exist with their smaller kin and in fewer numbers, resulting in the more numerous smaller versions being considered the "normal" size of the two.

Standard Traits

• CR: +1 (20 CP total)
• Hit Dice: The giant creature adds 1 Hit Dice of the same type to the base creature's total Hit Dice. These are the base creature's giant HD. These HD stack with the base creature's HD to determine the creature's base attack bonus, its number of ability score increases, feats, racial feats, skill ranks, skill proficiency increases, and any abilities or traits that scale off of the creature's total HD. (0 CP)
• Size: The giant creature increases the base creature's size by 1 step, and gains +2 Strength, -2 Dexterity, +1 Constitution, -1 size penalty to attack rolls, +1 size bonus to CMB and CMD, -1 size penalty to DV, -2 size penalty to Fly, -2^(number of sizes larger than Medium) size penalty to Stealth, creature's space, reach, and speed by one size larger, height is doubled, weight is multiplied by 8. (2 CP)
• Speed: The giant creature's base speed is increased by 1 size category. Other movement speeds that scale off of the creature's base speed increase accordingly.
• Ability Score Adjustment: +4 to Strength and Constitution. (16 CP)

Defense Racial Traits

• Bonus Feat: The giant creature gains Toughness as a bonus feat. (2 CP)

Offense Racial Traits

• Natural Attacks: Adjust the damage of the base creature's natural attacks to its new size.
